Spicy stew made with mince meat. Serve with rice and tortilla chips.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan and cook the onion over a medium heat until soft.
  2. Add the beef, turn the heat up and fry until browned and most of the water has evaporated.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-high. Add the garlic, black pepper and spices and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Pour in the bottle of beer and add the cocoa powder, oregano and tomatoes. Rinse out the can with some cold water and pour that into the pan as well.
  5. Bring to a boil and add the peppers and beans. Simmer gently for 30mins to 1 hour.
